The management of working capital and its effect on the profitability of the company

Working capital management is the function of financial administration that is dedicated to the planning, execution and control of the management of working capital components and their adequate levels that allow minimizing risk and maximizing business profitability. There are various factors that affect the operation of a company, making the components of working capital directly linked to the economic cycle. Even so, the greatest concern of managers, shareholders and financial administrators lies in determining what its impact is on the profitability of the company, an aspect that constitutes the objective of this investigation. The realization of a bibliographical study allowed grouping the results of multiple investigations related to the subject in question.
