The labor benefits program and its legal obligation
Keywords:
program, benefits, motivationAbstract
The benefits that a company grants to its workers have two specific purposes: on the one hand, to complement the salary that workers receive for providing their services to the company and, on the other, to be a motivating element in the achievement of results. According to the applicable labor legislation, companies have the obligation to provide certain concepts and amounts for labor benefits, but there are organizations that differ from said order, can provide additional benefits or omit compliance with said regulations. The main purpose of the research was to identify the benefits currently provided by the companies under study and how close they are to complying with the requirements of labor legislation. In the documentary phase of the investigation, information related to the concept of benefits and related concepts was obtained, to later refer to the benefits that must be granted according to labor legislation. Additionally, a field investigation was carried out that gave a descriptive approach to the work, since it was possible to identify the items that the companies under study deliver to their workers for benefits. Derived from the analysis of the data obtained, the research had a quantitative approach. After the description of the data obtained, several improvement actions were structured that seek to highlight applied research. As part of the conclusions of the work, it was possible to specify that the companies under study are not fully complying with labor legislation in relation to benefits, which causes a lack of motivation, commitment and efficiency on the part of the workers.
