Contributions Inclusion of women in the public university community

Abstract

The article seeks to show the progress in the inclusion of women in the public university community, the period to be analyzed is from 2015 to the present. Development Goal (SDG) Number 5: Gender equality adopted by the United Nations; highlighting the so-called "glass ceiling" gender studies, showing the lack of participation of women in decision-making; not being so in activities, with routine, student, administrative and teaching processes in the countries of Peru and Mexico. To this end, information was collected from the public universities of both countries, as well as recent publications from international organizations regarding the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda. The research methodology used is descriptive analytical, making use of documentary research techniques and comparative analysis. The results show that the inclusion of women in the public university community is still reduced and represents a challenge that entails a lot of work to be done, to comply with the SDGs.

Author Biographies

Cleofé Maritza Verastegui Corrales, National University of San Marcos, Peru

Public Accountant from the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University, MBA from the University
of Pacífico and PhD in Fiscal Policy and Tax System from the National University of San
Marcos, Lima-Peru. Former Deputy Credit Manager of Banco de Crédito-BCP, Former Head of
Risks of Banco de Materiales. He currently works as Principal Professor at the Faculty
of Accounting Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He directs these
s at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, participating in international conferences
and congresses in countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica and Cuba.

Luz Farías Ruelas, University of Guadalajara, Mexico

Degree in Public Accounting, Master in Finance and PhD in Fiscal Studies with Orientation
in Management and Intermediation, from the University of Guadalajara; Law degree from the
University of Valle de México and Master Business Administration from the University of
Phoenix. She has been a Professor of Bachelor's and Master's degrees, currently working as
General Operations Coordinator at the Public Library of the State of Jalisco "Juan José
Arreola"; She served as Administrator and Coordinator of the Urban Development Attorney's
Office, in the Government of the State of Jalisco. He has directed theses at the
undergraduate level, participated in international conferences, in countries such as
Spain, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama and Cuba.
