Analysis of financial decisions of family businesses in times of pandemic: Quevedo case

The objective of this research is to analyze the financial decisions that family businesses have made in times of pandemic; For this, a methodology with a qualitative-quantitative approach of a descriptive cross-sectional type with a non-experimental design was considered, a sample of 84 respondents who had businesses within the Quevedo canton was selected; The survey technique was applied, the survey application method was digital using a Google form, the same ones that were tabulated in the PAJEK software. The results indicate that the businesses suffered a decrease in economic income by 53% since 43% of the businesses experienced a reduction in their sales between 30% to 50% and 49% of the businesses reduced their sales between 10% to 30 %; only 36% of family businesses had access to bank financing, 9% managed to solve the difficulty by acquiring loans from suppliers; Lastly, businesses implemented technology with access to networks such as the WhatsApp messaging App with 65% followed by the social network Facebook with 38%, as well as the use of Delivery at 49%.
