Abstract

Quality in higher education is a central element of university management processes; its scope includes training, research, as well as links with society. Ensuring the quality of higher education is a permanent challenge for any educational system in the context of the knowledge society, the increasing internationalization of tertiary education, and the increase in coverage, the diversity of the system at a global level and the contingency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Assessing the indicators achieved by higher education institutions in the development of their substantive functions, teaching, research and connection attached to the regulations in force in Ecuador has been the objective of this research, taking the Technical University of Manabí as the setting.

Silvia Marilú Navarrete Navarrete, Technical University of Manabí, Ecuador

Licenciada en Secretariado Ejecutivo, estudiante de la Maestría de Administración de Empresas de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 9 años como servidora administrativa en la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, actualmente secretaria del Centro de Evaluación y Aseguramiento de la Calidad de la misma institución.

Casilda Paquisha Intriago Mora, Technical University of Manabí, Ecuador

Ingeniera comercial, con Maestría en Gerencia Educativa, Doctorante en finanzas  de la Universidad de la Habana de la República de Cuba, Asesora en fomento productivo del sector turístico, varios artículos publicados en revistas indexadas, participación en 6 Congresos nacionales e internacionales, Docente investigadora reconocida por la SENECYT, 14 años de actividad docente en Instituciones de Educación Superior  en Ecuador, actualmente Docente en la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, donde hace 5 años es miembro del centro de evaluación y aseguramiento de la calidad de la misma institución
