Articulating the chain of value of the tourism of nature to local scale in Granma
Keywords:
value chain, local development, nature tourismAbstract
The objective of this research is to offer a new conception of the operation of the nature tourism value chain in the municipal context from the perspective of the use of endogenous resources and capacities for their better articulation and competitiveness based on local development. Different theoretical and empirical research methods (documentary analysis and scientific observation) were used, such as techniques, structural analysis, unstructured open interviews, surveys, Cronbach's Alpha, MIC-MAC and MACTOR software packages, process consulting and others. It made it possible to offer a tool through the incorporation of dimensions and indicators for the analysis, projection, implementation, control and evaluation of impacts of the value chain of nature tourism at the municipal level, the use of the Local Morán Index to demonstrate the strengthening of the capacities and level of association of local actors. The practical application of the tool contributed to the decision-making of the Municipal Bodies of People's Power regarding the operation of the articulation of the local value chain of nature tourism, contributing to improve the contributions to local development in two municipalities of the province Granma.
