Abstract
It is a pleasure to present the third edition of the Cuban Magazine of Finance and Prices of Volume No. 3 corresponding to the year 2019, on this occasion with the central words of the act in commemoration of the 93rd Anniversary of the Birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, held on August 13, 2019, which were in charge of the young Susana Gracia del Busto, representing the youth of the organization. Companions and companions: I have begun to write these words more than a thousand times, because it is very difficult for me in a few pages to cover all the admiration I have for the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz. The historical leader of the Cuban Revolution was born on August 13, 1926 in Birán, current province of Holguín. The Commander-in-Chief had the characteristics of a great leader, which, added to his personal gifts of audacity, strength and courage, and his extraordinary desire to always examine the will of the people, have taken him to the place of honor and sacrifice that he occupies today. But he also had other important qualities, such as his ability to assimilate knowledge and experience, to understand the whole of a given situation without losing sight of the details, his immense faith in the future, and his broad vision to prevent events and anticipate events, always seeing further and better than their peers. With these great cardinal qualities, his ability to unite, to unite, opposing the division that weakens; his ability to direct at the head of all the action of the people; his infinite love for him, his faith in the future and his ability to foresee it, Fidel Castro Ruz did more than anyone else in Cuba to build from scratch the now formidable apparatus of the Cuban Revolution. The concept of Revolution enunciated by Fidel before the crowd gathered in the Plaza on May 1, 2000, contains one of the most relevant legacies of his leadership to socialist theory and practice, both for the richness of its content and for its historical significance. Fidel concretized in an admirable synthesis his experience as the protagonist of a process of radical transformations, which led him from organizing a political vanguard for the overthrow of the dictatorship and taking power, to leading a guerrilla war that led to an army and a movement and channel the necessary changes so that the vindication of the economic, social, political and cultural rights of the majority, beginning with the workers and peasants, would be a real fact for the first time in the country. Obviously each of his statements has personal value, but its dimension would be reduced if the whole is fragmented and it is not learned as its own concatenation. Many tend to dwell on two aspects of Fidel's definition: the sense of the historical moment and of changing everything that must be changed. The first requires taking into account the dialectic between tactics and strategy, between the eventual and the permanent, the apparent and the real, and of course, closing the doors to superficiality and improvisation. It demands political responsibility in any of the roles that correspond to us in the social fabric.
This is essential in the path of essential changes for the improvement of the Cuban socialist model. The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Army General Raúl Castro, has insisted on more than one occasion that any transformation must take place slowly, but without pause, to avoid unfortunate mistakes caused by haste and immaturity. So it is not a question of changing for the sake of change, but of knowing how to do it at the time. It is also a call to face inertia, immobility and stagnation in the analysis of reality. Regarding the deep look that characterized the leader of the Cuban Revolution, in his analysis of the United States, the Nobel Prize winner for literature, Gabriel García Márquez, would express: «The country he knows the most about, after Cuba, is the United States. He knows in depth the nature of his people, their power structures, the ulterior motives of their governments, and this has helped him weather the incessant storm of the blockade. This is one of the reasons that answers the frequent question that millions of people ask themselves about how it was possible for Fidel to overcome and defeat the aggressive policy of more than ten US administrations. The Commander-in-Chief always warned us about the actions of the imperialists, the current Government of the United States and its ambition to dominate the entire region, pose the most categorical threat of the last five decades to the peace, security and well-being of Latin America and the caribbean. We ratify the firm solidarity and support for the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution, President Nicolás Maduro Moros and the civic-military union of his people, who are writing admirable pages of resistance. Given the incessant lies against Cuban medical collaboration, the United States Agency for International Development is offering a reward of up to three million dollars to organizations, inside and outside the Island, to persecute Cuban medical personnel exported abroad, to which we respond with a phrase from Our Commander: “No one will be able to sabotage Cuba's cooperation with other Third World countries. Facts and not words. Quick action and not waiting for the Greek kalends when human beings from poor countries are dying every day at all hours. The increase in the economic war, with the strengthening of the blockade and the continuous application of the Helms-Burton Act, with which we do not understand each other, the United States of America insists on the old desire to overthrow the Cuban Revolution through the economic suffocation and hardship. We tell the Giant of the Seven Leagues that Cuba is not afraid of threats and that our vocation for peace and understanding is accompanied by the unshakable determination to defend the sovereign right of Cubans to decide the future of the nation, without foreign interference. . I will conclude my words by ratifying the enormous commitment that the Cuban Youth has today and especially that of this Ministry to give continuity to the immense work of the Revolution, and to the legacy of our Commander in Chief, who had the deep conviction that on his shoulders great tasks could be deposited from the youth, and so it will be. Long live Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz Long live the Communist Party of Cuba Country or Death overcome Susana Grace of the Bust Young Communist League Committee
